Microsoft has updated the Photos app for Windows 11, leaving the old clunky days behind. The new interface, better image quality, and user-friendly features make this update worth a closer look…
Microsoft Photos received a major update for Windows 11
With the new update, the photo viewing experience in the Microsoft Photos app has been completely revamped. Important actions such as “Start Slideshow” and “Share” are now directly on the main screen. Previously, these actions were hidden in menus, making them harder to find. With the new update, you can perform all these actions with just one click.
Microsoft has also consolidated links for quick access to photo galleries and other applications like Clipchamp and OneDrive. With the new update, you can perform all these tasks without leaving the Photos app. The new dynamic zoom slider allows you to adjust image sizes between 10% and 800%.
Additionally, with the new update, you can now see the size of your photos at the bottom of the screen. Microsoft has also added a feature to select and manage when photos and videos are transferred from local devices. This is a highly anticipated feature, especially for those who want to keep their photo and video archives organized.
Finally, performance improvements have made the viewer’s loading time 2.1 times faster. This means your photos will open much quicker. With multi-process performance improvements, you can even open large photo files instantly.
